For me Autumn is the ultimate makeup season. This season is where all the amazing earth shades shine through.
Autumn is the season where coats, scarves and shoes of different styles and colours wants makeup to go with.
Cold Plum is the one lip colour I return to every Autumn and this year I am going to match it with the Trio Eye Shadow, Dark Mystery!

"I´ve never needed a primer before, why would I need one now?" - I know that some of you have at one point asked yourself the same question.

A primer smoothens out the surface, making it easier to get a good reslut. The primer also "grips" on to the used products helping the makeup last all day. Depending on which primer you are using, it can help tightening pores and reduce shine.

Perhaps best of all, it works as a layer, or as a shield, between your skin care and makeup. Which lets your serums and day cream do it´s magic in peace.

As seen on the runway, the "no makeup" look is hot this year. But before using makeup to cover up flaws and strive for a "makeup free" look, change some rutines and work towards a satisfying result. To get perfect skin is like going to the gym, you need to work for it. Some of us more than others.

• Moisturize your skin. Every evening and every morning. Throw in a hydrating skin mask once a week. Make sure you light some candles and relax. Get your most needed alone time. You´ll thank me.
  
  Remember, a day cream protects us from pollution, makeup and UV rays, along with other environmental stress.
  A night cream focuses on recovery and moisture since it´s when we are asleep that our body, mind and skin does all the heavy "repearing" work.

DuoRAW last week at Chic Awards!

 Last thursday me and my hot piece of meat (man) had the honor of co-hosting the CHIC awards at Berns in Stockholm! They had gone all in with everything and they were such an amazing crew to work with! C-Flinkenberg Mrs Editor in chef is so damn funny we cried! 

First we enterd the room as Kaleesis Dragons, then we changed outfits to present the most CHIC celebrity award to Glamazon Victoria Silvstedt, she is so kind (and OMG this Gurl is talll!!) #internationalfriendsunite Our Bestie Fredrik Robertsson won the award for the most CHIC fashionista! #WERQ!

Hey friends possible followers and all u other random pepole! Ronny Willberg Johansson is my name and this is my first Blog entry at Makiash.com! #slaayyy.

Well i guess that u need some form of introduction to know what kind of person i am so here goes-

A im a Graphic design student at Malmoe Uni who is currently doing my internship at #fab Makiash.com, who i am also the head fashion illustrator for. I have worked as a stylist (hair, makeup and chlotes) for about ten years before i decided to go back to school. My resume is like me -kinda awesome ;). I have done fashion runways, photoshoots and everything embetween, musicvideos with more than 30 million wiews and so on. At the same time i have worked as a proffessional dancer and gogo dancer (not my proudest moments).

I met Alda who works as a hair dresser. I get inspired by her hair style and while I´m taking her photos I´m wondering if I should try to
braid my hair like her. I really like her subtle and natural makeup.
She lets me know that she got inspired by a fashion spread, to wear the "all jeans" outfit together with a beige coat - I like it!

But the favourite part of all must be the green Michael Kors bag and her white nail polish - Love!

"Use an eyeliner to define your eyes"

Malak

We are doing a "Street Fashion-tour". Or call it a "Street Beauty-tour" if you will.
I met this girl Malak who clearly gots it.  I spot her from afar and her style surely stands out from the festival crowd.
We let Malak inspire us by asking her 3 beauty questions.

1. What are your best makeup tips?
"Brow gel! You can eaven use it on your eyelashes to creat a so called cat look."

2. What´s always in your purse?
"My primer."

3. How would you describe your style?
"Schizophrenic" And she laughes. "I tend to combind an elegant style with a sporty look."

Awsome style for those who like to go straight from work to after-works.
With her long blonde hair, Loui Vuitton bag,  jeans shorts, sneakers, long nails and a winged eyeliner she has inspired us to combind elegance with street!

PS. I love that she called her style Schizophrenic - that is kind of how I see my own style!

I hope that you have enjoyed Summer as much as I have. I also hope that you have been taking care of your skin. Hopefully you have been using SPF.
And even though you have been thrilled by the fact that the lovely sun has been a caressing you, I hope that you have been fully aware that the sun rays are and probably always will be harmful when you are exposed to them in an irresponsible way.

A good tip is to now use a softening and revitalising Primer.

Most of us are so happy that we have been sun kissed during summer. However, now some of us are starting to panic by the fact that the sun touched look is slowly dissaparing.
The panic is over ladies! Keep the glowing tan with a Bronzing Powder. Apply bronzing powder where the sun rays normally hit your face.

Did you know that it´s not only your hair that get bleached by the sun? We also get sun bleached eyebrows. And we should all remember that the best way to frame your face is to have nicely shaped eyebrows.
So, my last tip for today is that you use an eyebrow pen to shape and enhance your natural eyebrows.

Profession: Photographer and Graphic Designer

When did you know that you wanted to become a photographer?
"My passion for graphic design and the arts drove me into photography. I had dabbled in photography in my mid-teens but analogue film wasn't really that convenient or cheap. It wasn't really until 2002 when I bought my first DSLR (The Nikon D100) that it became apparent that I could use this new tool as an extension in my graphics work. At the time I was the art director of a fairly large media agency and that really helped me evolve and take my photography to a whole new level. So, I fell in love with it."

What job have you enjoyed the most?
"Looking back at my photography it's difficult to say which job has been the most fun. As long as I get to work with inspiring people and models I think most jobs are great. I like challenges. May it be lighting conditions, angles or otherwise difficult situations. When it gets too easy things get boring.

But if I have to choose one particular job I'd say it was when I shot a documentary video and stills for the swedish artist Ola Salo back in 2012. We had alot of fun during those days. And documentary photography wasn't something I'd done before in that sense. "

What is the best thing about beeing a photagrapher?
"Being able to touch people with the work you do. Meeting alot of new people is another great perk with the job."

What do you always carry with you?
"On a job? Never without my 50mm f/1.4 lens.
Private? I always make sure my passport and Mastercard is in my bag. You never know what your day brings."

What job is your dream job?
"So far I have reached all the dreams I've set out to reach. I ran a successful media agency, I've produced and published music, I've produced music videos and short films and that's really what I love to do. The next challange is writing and directing feature length movies. Still working on my own script, and I will get there."

What are your best studio tips?
"Always surround yourself with talented and patient stylists and makeup artists. The preparation before a shot will save you hours in post processing.

Humor always relaxes people, so when shooting models make sure they feel like you've known them for 20 years.

Stock up on energy. Fruit and tap water will get you there.

And finally, if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right."

-When did you know that you wanted to become a  makeup artist?
When I was 7 yrs old and I secretly started playing with my mother's makeup. It was love at first sight!

-What job have you enjoyed the most?
I enjoy most jobs, it's an exciting field to be in. One that stands out was from last summer when I was the makeup artist for a Mr Hudson music video. Rankin was directing it and I have always admired him, it was an honour to work with him.

-What is the best thing about beeing a makeup artist?
No two days are the same. The wonderful people you meet. Being creative everyday!

-What does your everyday makeup look like?
I always make sure I have great skin, I spend time on good foundation, blush and highlight. I then decide to play up either the eyes or the lips - recently I have done a lot of bright lips for the spring and just used a light eyeshadow with mascara.

-What´s always in your purse?
Lip balm and gloss, MAKIASH smokey pen if I need to change up my look for the evening,  perfume and Mac blot film for oily breakthroughs,

-What is your dream job?

Pull your hair into a top knot, pull out random pieces and hairspray. Very chic and parisian.

Blend your eye makeup longer than you think you need to, always wear great mascara and always wear your look with confidence.

Makeup, models, good food, amazing people, laughter, inspiring conversations and hot music. That pretty much sums up the launch party held last Friday.
We want to say thank you to both new and old friends, we had a blast. Hope you all did too!

Alwasy start with a primer. It´s easy to say that it´s crucial for a day like your graduation day. You want to make sure that your makeup looks flawless all day.

With the waterproof eye pen you can bring intensity to your eyes. (Deep Grey or Deep Brown).

1. Look down and use a finger to carefully pull the outer corner of your eye outwards. Draw a soft line along the upper lash line. Start from the outer corner and work your way inwards. Repeat the steps when doing the lower lash line, but look up instead of down.

2. Make sure you draw the line as close to the lash line as possible.

3. It´s OK if you're not steady on your hand, beacause the next step is to use the smudge tool on the other end of the pen to smoothen out the line.

To make sure that you stay fab all day, use the Volume & Length Mascara. It´s water resistant (not waterproof) and will last all day and does not smudge. (Models favourite).

The Cosmo Red nail polish makes sure that you stand out. Pale Pink gives you a sweet and natural look.
They are high-gloss, easy to apply, quick drying, long-lasting and has brilliant shine.

Bring the moisturising and shiny lipgloss with you all day, and touch up when needed. (Shimmering Nectar or Sparkling Pink)

"When I saw all the beautiful ladies in the magazines...I wanted to be just like them."

-How were you discovered?
"Me and my friend had a deal, if I went to an agency, she would stop "picking" on me, so I did...And then I suddenly became an model. "

-What modeling job have you enjoyed the most?
"When I went to Copenhagen for a work for Kevin.Murphy. It was a big show and we were somewhere around 35-50 models, all from the same agency and we were all friends - we had so much fun and it was a blast!
But the absolute best model job that I have ever made was when I went to Stockholm and did a job for Björn Axén, where they treated me like I was a supermodel - which was super fun!!"

-What is the best thing about beeing a model?
"You will never be a pro, there are always something new to learn, a new pose or something like that. You always surprise yourself with new sides of yourself that you never knew existed."

-What does your everyday makeup look like?
"Simple and clean. An aqua-foundation, mascara and lipgloss. Less is more."

-What´s always in your purse?
"Lipgloss, eyeliner (if I´m going out I don't need to go home and re-do my makeup, I just put some eyeliner on), perfume and hairbrush."

-What modeling job is your dream job?
"To be the new Victoria Secret PINK model. That would be amazing."

-What are your best makeup tips?
"Keep it simple. Your makeup is not supposed to cover your beauty - it´s supposed to bring out the beauty inside of you.
Don´t spend money on crappy makeup, choose something that is of good quality and your skin will thank you - keep in mind that you only have one skin, not two.
If you want beautiful skin - treat if beautifully. Never sleep with makeup on, always prefer water over soda, and never forget to have a good cream with a high SPF when you are out in the sun during summer.
A tip! If you had a red lipstick on and you want to go back to nude again - take some lip balm and leave it on the red lipstick for 5 minutes, and try to wash it of. It´s easier to wash of the red lipstick when your lips are moisturized than it is when they are dry."

"It's almost impossible to pick one because there are so many that I have enjoyed through the years but I think one of them has to be an editorial that we shot on the Maldives at a breathtaking resort."

"The best thing is for sure the amazing places and interesting people that you meet from all over the world. It definitely widens your perspectives on things, makes you open minded and independent. "

-What does your everyday makeup look like?

"I’ve been modelling for about 7 years off and on, it hasn’t been an easy road  whatsoever as a black model in the fashion industry. Black girls have to work twice as hard to get picked up.
But it’s been life changing and extremely exciting."


-When did you know that you wanted to become a model?
"I wanted to become a model when I saw Naomi Campbell for the first time and I was  amazed by her famous catwalk strut. I think I was 12-13 years old and I was walking in my room for hours, trying to walk like her."

-How were you discovered?
"The first time I was discovered was when I was 13 years old but my parents didn´t let me beacuse they thought I was too young. I was scouted several times and the last time I was scouted was when I was in NY with my sister in 2007 and that´s when I started modeling."

-What modeling job have you enjoyed the most?
"The campaign I did with the Former Supermodel Vendela Kirsebom. The campaign was on billboards all over Norway.  I was hand picked by Vendela Kirsebom herself for her eyewear collection. That campaign was shot in her house by the famous photographer Bjorn Opsahl (also shot Tyra Banks)

"Being a model introduces you to a lot of people in the industry, allows you to travel and get paid for something you love. It takes more than just a pretty face to be a model. I think modeling is an expressive art and tells a story without words. You can show movement in a still picture and I think that it is incredible to be able to have that skill."

-What does your everyday makeup look like?
"For me it's all about keeping things simple but effective. I wear Mascara, I give attention to my eyebrows and take care of my lips. -When did you know that you wanted to become a model?
"After I joined a little competition in my local shopping center, they
let me do a catwalk during the summer event week there. I felt really
good about it and wanted to continue."

-What modeling job have you enjoyed the most?
"A recent job I had in Honolulu Hawaii was just amazing. It was a whole
week shooting cover and an editorial for a French magazine. It was
such a great team, and a place I always dreamed of visiting. The
coolest moment was when we took some photos in the sea and I suddenly
had two wild huge turtles around me."

-What is the best thing about beeing a model?
"To be able to travel the world and at the same time live in places like the local people does. It's not like you're a tourist getting everything organized around you, you have to adapt to the culture. You go grocery shopping on the market, figuring out the metro jungle, discovering the city in another point of view. Furthermore I have got to know amazing people all over the world, which has really opened my eyes and helped me on the way. Plus I have (almost) learnt the language of my dreams, French, by living in Paris."

-What does your everyday makeup look like?
"My everyday makeup is normally for castings, and the client wants to
see my skin and how I look without too much makeup, therefore very
natural.
I use primer (MAKIASH), BB cream, concealer (MAKIASH), brow liner,
little mascara on top lashes (for an awake look), and a little fresh
blush (MAKIASH). If it's really hot weather, I brush a little compact
powder (MAKIASH) in the T-zone."

"My iPhone (completely necessary for adresses and emails....... AND of
course music, photos and instagram;P).
Chewing gums in some crazy flavors (I often get sweet cravings if I am waiting).
Water (Need it during a long day for the body, but also to avoid

"Within modeling my dream job would be a booking for Victoria's Secret
(Such a cliché, I know)."

"My best makeup tips will be to just "beautify" yourself with makeup,
do it natural and enhance your best features. When Friday comes you
just add some lipstick, do a pretty eyeshadow, or use a quick
smokey-eyes pen and you're ready for anything.
And find your skin tone to chose the right colored blush and
lipsticks, it can really brighten your face up if you chose the right
colors. I have olive tone skin, and love pink and coral tones."

"At first I was scouted when I was 13. I was at Liseberg that day.  However, I thought I was too young and at the time I didn´t want to work.
2003 I met Sweden Models at a Beauty Fair in Malmö. They took some pictures of me on the spot and then I had to visit the agency for more test images. Since then, I have been working as a model."

-What modeling job have you enjoyed the most?
"It will probably have to be when I worked with the famous photographer Hans Feuer. We were in the Bahamas for a week. But it was only a 3-day job. We rode horses on the beach and all of this later became a beautifull story. I got the job through U magazine."

-What is the best thing about beeing a model?
"We get to travel a lot. It is always a great variety of jobs. We meet a lot of new people. Learn new cultures. Visit different countries. It's good money, and I like irregular hours. And I  like beeing my own boss."

1. Find a colour that vanishes into your own skin tone. If you have two different shades, it´s easy for you to dab the two shades on the back of your hand and blend them together. Your skin tone changes depending on which season it is.

2. Make sure you apply BB Cream when you have a good lighting. This makes it easier for you to achieve a natural base.

3. Dab some BB Cream on the back of your hand and use a Foundation Brush to apply with soft and short strokes. Start from the center of your face and work your way out

-When did you know that you wanted to become an MUA?
I have always been very interested in shapes and colours. However I started to get interested in makeup when I was in high school.

-What job have you enjoyed the most?
Each and every second that I am working with Ellimacs tutorials. When the photagrapher Macs Moser and I do looks for www.ellimacs.com we allow us to let our creativity flow freely.
I get to work without any restrictions. That is why I love it!

-What is the best thing about beeing an MUA?
Where should I begin? I have loads of makeup, new and exciting meetings all the time, I learn something new every day and I get to work with what I love!

-What does your everyday makeup look like?
I usually use BB-Cream or mineral powder. I always define my eyebrows. It really frames the whole face! I throw on some fake lashes to achieve a cat eye look and then I finish of with a  lip balm to hydrate my lips!

-What´s always in your purse?
I always bring an eyebrow pen, an eyeliner and a nice lipgloss! It can really save any makeup-crisis!

-What is your dream job?
My dream is to work behind the scenes with special effect makeup in Hollywood.

-What is your best hair tip on a busy day?
Blow dry your hair upside down or use the Volume master. Volume can always bring your hair back to life.

-What are your best makeup tips?
Some blush to lighten up any boring weather. Even if it´s cold outside the sun does shine. A good makeup-base with SPF will protect your skin. Remember to wash all you makeup off, every evening. You want to let your skin breath while you are asleep, so that when you wake up your skin is fresh and ready for some new makeup.

"I like fashion shows and runways."

"The large variety. Meeting new people. And new adventures."

If the world of Compact Powders confuses you, here are som tips:

With a Compact Powder we want to get a silky soft and natural look.
It´s important to find a shade that is the exact same colour as your own skin tone.

• Start with a primer
• If your skin is dry use your usual moisturiser before applying primer
  
• Use a Compact Powder that matches the tone of your jawline
• Avoid too dark or too light colours or it will not look natural
  
• If you want to add colour use Bronzing Bowder or Blush
  
• Use a Powder Brush too apply if you want a light and natural finish

A few tricks to get long and seperated lashes with the Volume & Length Mascara:

• The shape of the wand makes it easy for you to come close to the lash line
  
• Start by applying a layer as close to the lash line as possible
  
• Wiggle the wand back and forth to get seperated lashes
  
• When applying the first layer, only apply near the roots
  
• Leave the tip of the lashes mascara-free
  
• Let the first layer of mascara dry a few seconds
  
• Apply a second layer
  
• Now apply all the way from the lash line to the tip of the lashes (wiggle the wand back and forth)
• On the lower lashes, apply a thin layer, If needed, use a spoolie to give them a seperated and clean look.
  

The key is to wiggle the wand back and forth.
Apply a thick layer close to the lash line and a thinner layer on the tip of the lashes.

"Neutral. Some mascara and some lipgloss."

"A bikini shoot on a beautiful and sunny beach in Miami."

"So far I have had two jobs in Milan and one in Paris."

If you don´t have a special brush cleanser, here are some useful tips:

• Run the brush under warm water
• Use a mild shampoo
  
• Lather up
  
• You might want to clean Blush Brushes, Foundation Brushes and Concealer Brushes extra thoroughly
• Rinse under warm water and make sure there is no more lather
• Use a dry towel to dry the brush
  
• Dab the bristle on the towel gently
• Be careful not to change the natural shape of the bristle
• Let the brushes dry while laying down horizontal on a dry towel. We don´t want any water in the ferrule
• Rotate the brush after a few hours if needed
• For best result, let the brush dry over night

"A stylist recommended Sweden Models."

-What modelling job have you enjoined the most?
"Definitely a commercial we did for the new BMW X1. We were supposed to shoot in Austria for three days. However the weather did not allow us to finish it on time. The helicopter just couldn´t get any good shots. So we stayed in Austria for eight days. And while waiting for the weather to clear up we went swimming and visiting spas. On day seven and eight we had a shoot on top of the mountains. They closed some roads off and whenever cars did pass by, all the BMWs were covered. Stuntmen did amazing stunts with the vehicles. I actually challenged one of the stuntmen to race me. So we rented sport cars and raced  on serpentine roads. We also had a a shoot outside of Barcelona as well as in Barcelona. All together it was a two weeks shoot, containing a crew of 90 people."

-What is the best thing about beeing a model?
"Meeting facinating people and traveling to various countries and cities. However, there is a difference between working in different countries and traveling as a tourist. I miss out on visiting tourist attractions. On the other hand I get the opportunity to experience the country together with the locals. We don´t get to relax, however we do get the opportunity to network and make new relations."

-What does you everyday makeup look like?
"I use face scrubs and face care. Dermalogica makeup remover, and an eye cream from Skin doctors. "

-What do you always carry with you?
"I always carry headphones, sunglasses, chewing gum, music and my iphone. "

-What modeling job is your dream job?
"Dior"

-What are your overseas experiences?
"Out of all cities I have worked in, I´v had the best experience in Barcelona, Spain. And the citie I like least is Milan, Italy"

-Why an illustrater?
"I have been trying different jobs my whole adult life. Somehow I soon found myself in this world where my technique fits perfetly in. And my mother has always told me that illustrating is my destiny. So now I study graphic design. "

-When did you begin to draw?
"I have been drawing  as far as my memory goes. As a child I started out drawing portraits of family members."

-Favorite style?
"Model illustrations. David Downtown is one of my inspiration sources."

-Where else do you get your inspiration from?
"Pop culture, both hair and clothes. And then of course from traveling."

-For how long have you known that you want to become an illustrator?
"Since I was 28. That´s five years ago. Jason Brooks has inspired me. So as many other illustrators have done, I now study graphic design. I want to be commercial.."

-What are your dreams and goals?
"I want to start my own company. This way I can travel together with my boyfriend in his work. I want to colaborate with fashion brands and fashion bureaus. By opening my own company I get the opportunity to exist wherever I want to."

-Any advice for those who wants to follow your foot steps?
"Just throw yourself out there. But don´t forget to get an education. This way it´s much easier for companies to use you in a professional way."
