"I’ve been modelling for about 7 years off and on, it hasn’t been an easy road  whatsoever as a black model in the fashion industry. Black girls have to work twice as hard to get picked up.
But it’s been life changing and extremely exciting."


-When did you know that you wanted to become a model?
"I wanted to become a model when I saw Naomi Campbell for the first time and I was  amazed by her famous catwalk strut. I think I was 12-13 years old and I was walking in my room for hours, trying to walk like her."

-How were you discovered?
"The first time I was discovered was when I was 13 years old but my parents didn´t let me beacuse they thought I was too young. I was scouted several times and the last time I was scouted was when I was in NY with my sister in 2007 and that´s when I started modeling."

-What modeling job have you enjoyed the most?
"The campaign I did with the Former Supermodel Vendela Kirsebom. The campaign was on billboards all over Norway.  I was hand picked by Vendela Kirsebom herself for her eyewear collection. That campaign was shot in her house by the famous photographer Bjorn Opsahl (also shot Tyra Banks)
when I saw myself on billboards was the best feeling!"

-What is the best thing about beeing a model?
"Being a model introduces you to a lot of people in the industry, allows you to travel and get paid for something you love. It takes more than just a pretty face to be a model. I think modeling is an expressive art and tells a story without words. You can show movement in a still picture and I think that it is incredible to be able to have that skill."

-What does your everyday makeup look like?
"For me it's all about keeping things simple but effective. I wear Mascara, I give attention to my eyebrows and take care of my lips. I like MAKIASH Mascara beacuse it has Volume & Length, it´s water resistant and lasts all day. For my eyebrows, I brush them through to keep them groomed and in place. And for my lips, i use MAKIASH Nude Plum lipgloss. I look natural and fresh using these three things!"

-What´s always in your purse?
"Lip Balm/Gloss, Basic Makeup kit, Bottled Water and Cell Phone Charger."

-What modeling job is your dream job?
"My modeling dream job would probably be to shoot anything with Steven Meisel."

-What are your best makeup tips?
"My top beauty tip is sleep! It might just be the oldest piece of beauty advice around, but it works. Also a regular detox to keep both hair and skin on top form and drink lots of water."
